This short was written by Sherman Alexie (www.fallsapart.com) as part of the Seattle International Film Festival Fly Filmmaking Challenge. Gene Tagaban (The Business of Fancydancing) explores the Indian Musical Style known as a “49”. The film also screened at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, the 2003 1 Reel Film Festival (Seattle), the 2003 Northwest Film and Video Festival (Portland, Oregon), and the 2003 Anchorage Film Festival.
In addition to being scheduled for the 2004
Florida Film Festival, South By Southwest (SXSW) 2004 and
Lake Placid Film Festival, it has been picked to be a part
of The Best of the 30th
Northwest Film & Video Festival, a collection that will tour the greater
Northwest in 2004.
