Eric Frith

Eric Frith has been in the Film and Video industry for 12 years. In 2000 Eric partnered with his wife, Holly Taylor, as a principal in Byrd Productions, and as a Director and Editor for the company. He started out in the film and video business as co-owner of Bent Nail Productions, where he directed projects for clients such as R.E.I., Columbia Sportswear, and Seattle Arts Museum/African American Heritage Museum. In the early nineties Eric’s love of editing led him to focus on post production; he became Post Production Supervisor/Editor for Seattle based Merwin Creative and later held the same position for Cesari Response Television. With these companies, Eric was post supervisor/editor for programs airing on every major network station as well as Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, Lifetime, Bravo and KCTS for clients such as Microsoft, Compaq, Discovery Health Channel and Clorox.

Heart of the Game poster from the Toronto Film FestivalEric edited the feature-length documentary film The Heart of the Game, directed by Ward Serrill and released by Miramax in June 2006. The film, an official selection at the 2005 Toronto Film Festival, has been shown at numerous film festivals across the country, including,the Tribeca Film Festival, the Seattle International Film Festival, the San Francisco Film Festival, the Philadelphia Film Festival, the South by Southwest XX Film Festival, the Portland (Oregon) International Film Festival, the Miami International Film Festival, the Santa Barbara Film Festival, the True/False Film Festival (Columbia, Missouri), the Indianapolis Interntional Film Festival and the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival (Durham, North Carolina). Eric also directed and edited the short titled 49? which screened in the 2004 Sundance Film Festival, the 2003 Seattle International Film Festival, the 1 Reel Film Festival (Seattle) the Northwest Film and Video Festival (Portland, Oregon), the Anchorage Film Festival, the 2004 Florida Film Festival, South By Southwest (SXSW) 2004 and the 2004 Lake Placid Film Festival. 49? was also picked to be a part of The Best of the Northwest Film & Video Festival, a collection that will tour the greater Northwest in 2004.
